HR Certification Path

Privacy, down to the field

You can use every page and practice test here without telling us who you are: there is no sign-up, no cookie, no analytics script and no ad. The site keeps exactly one kind of record, written when you tap a button that leads to a practice app, and this page lists what is in it.

What happens when you tap an app button

App buttons don’t link to the stores directly. They go through go.hr-certification-path.com, a redirect we operate, which sends an iPhone to the App Store, an Android phone to Google Play when the exam has an Android app, and anything else to that exam’s practice test on this site. The redirect writes one record per tap:

  • The tap: which page and button you came from, which exam, where you were sent, and when.
  • Your device: the user-agent string your browser sends, and the operating system read from it.
  • Your connection: your IP address, your network operator’s autonomous system number and name, an approximate location looked up from the IP (country, region, city, time zone), and which of our host’s data centers answered.
  • The link itself: the referring page and any parameters on the link, such as a utm_source.

It holds no name, email address or account, because the site has none to give. We use these records to see which pages lead people to the apps and to filter out bots; they are not sold or passed to advertisers.

The label on store links

The App Store and Google Play links carry this site’s name, hr-certification-path.com, as a campaign label, so the store can tell the app’s publisher that an install came from here. The label is the same for every visitor: it identifies the site, not you.

Everything else

Pages are prebuilt files, and the fonts are served from this domain, so no third-party script or tracker loads. Your answers in a practice test are scored by a script in the page and stay in your browser tab; close it and they are gone. Our hosting provider sees the usual request data, such as IP address, user-agent and the address requested, to deliver pages and block attacks.

How long records are kept, and opting out

We haven’t set a fixed deletion date for tap records, and there is no mailbox to send a deletion request to. To avoid creating one, skip the app buttons and search for the app by name in the App Store or Google Play.
